On the morning of Mar. 23rd, 2022, the academic lecture "Platform Economic Governance Perspective - the Legal Subject Status of the Internet Platform" was successfully held. The lecture was sponsored by the Competition Law Research Center of Nankai University and the Competition Governance Technology Innovation Laboratory of Tianjin Administration for Market Regulation.More than 150 teachers and students participated. Experts and scholars from the fields of law and economics jointly discussed platform economic governance, which provided a wonderful academic lecture.
Professor Hou Liyang delivered a speech on the topic of "Legal Subject Status of Internet Platform". Associate Professor Wang Bin pointed out that, with the deep development and application of the Internet, it has entered the era of intelligent Internet. The economic form, business model, and trading rules are experiencing revolutionary remodeling, which leads to the continuous deconstruction and construction of traditional legal relations.
Professor Qu Chuang proposed that to intervene in the market operation activities of platform enterprises, we need to focus on whether their business behavior will cause damage. Professor Chen Bing believes that, at present, as an economic organization, the platform has played an important role in social governance and public services, and it has certain public management functions.However, a certain type of functions that the platform has cannot be used as the direct and the only standard to judge its identity attribute, and the essential attribute of the platform as a market economy subject should be fully considered.
The lecture lasted for two hours, and it was a complete success.
