A students of School of Law were awarded as Outstanding Student Pioneer under the Zeng Xianzi Education Foundation’s Outstanding Student Award Scheme

Recently, according to the information released by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education, the results of the Zeng Xianzi Education Foundations 7th Outstanding Student Award Scheme for 2021 were announced. After consideration by the Board of Directors of Zeng Xianzi Education Foundation, Ji Xinlei, an undergraduate student of the School of Law, was awarded as the Outstanding Student Pioneer under the honorable selection.


As an outstanding student of the Law School, Ji Xinlei has excellent academic performance, actively participates in various academic researches and social practice activities, and undertakes important work such as the student editor of Nankai Law Review and the student leader of the publicity department of the Law School Youth League Committee.


Since receiving the notification from the Ministry of Education in September 2021, Nankai University has actively organised the evaluation of the award scheme. After the individual application, college audit and recommendation, and university selection, the university decided to recommend 30 undergraduate candidates, including Xiong Yuqin, to be selected for this years award scheme, and recommended Ji Xinlei to participate in the title of Outstanding Student Pioneer.


It is reported that since 2000, the Ministry of Education and the Zeng Xianzi Education Foundation have been cooperating to implement the Outstanding Student Award Scheme in mainland universities. The goal is supporting outstanding students from poor families to complete their studies, with every three years being a funding cycle, and this is the last year of the Award Scheme. A total of 1,140 students from across China were selected for the Award Scheme and 38 of them were awarded the title of Outstanding Student Pioneer.
