Song Hualin, born in 1977, is the Vice Dean, the Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Nankai University Law School, Director of the Medical and Health Law Research Center of Nankai University, Director of the Network and Information Law Research Center of the Law School, Chief expert of the Legal system of “Research on the Prevention and Control of Major Public Health Events” of the National Public Health Fund.
In 2006, Professor Song received a doctorate in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law from Zhejiang University, and was a Visiting Scholar of the Center for Chinese Law Studies at Yale University Law School. He has published more than 60 articles in CSSCI academic journals such as Chinese Law and Management World, and has been selected and reprinted nearly 20 times by Chinese Social Science Digest, Liberal Academic Digest of Colleges and Universities, and copies of newspapers and materials of Renmin University of China.
Professor Song’s monograph on Drug Administration Law won the 8th National Outstanding Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences in Scientific Research), the second prize of the 4th “Dong Biwu Youth Legal Achievement Award” of the Chinese Law Society and the second prize of the first Fang de Legal Research Award. “Research on China Food Safety Standards and Legal System” won the first prize of “2011 (the First) China Food Safety Rule of Law Summit Forum”.
Professor Song has published and translated seven books, edited and co-wrote 12 books, presided over the National Social Science Fund Project, and a number of other projects.Several consulting reports were approved by the central leaders.He was partially involved in 13 expert consultations that formulated or revised laws and regulations and commented and received hundreds of interviews in multiple newspaper media.
Professor Song is also the Standing Director of the Administrative Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, Vice President of the Government Regulation Professional Committee, Member of the Professional Committee on Administrative Law Cases, Standing Director of China Health Law Society, Vice-Chairman of the Academic Committee, Director of the Network and Information Law Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, Members of the publicity group of the Drug Administration Law and the Vaccine Administration Law of the State Vaccines Administration, Member of the publicity group of the Regulations on Cosmetics Supervision and Administration of the State Drug Administration, Editorial board of Qinglan Library, China Legal Publishing House, Editorial board of the Administrative Law Theory Cluster, Vice Chairman of Tianjin Food Safety Expert Advisory Committee, Special researcher at China New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy Research Institute and Member of the Biomedical Ethics Committee of Nankai University.
Professor Song has also received many honorary awards, such as the first level candidate of Tianjin “131” innovative talent training project, advanced teacher ethics individuals of Tianjin, the 100 Young Discipline Leaders Training Program of Nankai University.
