Professor Zhang Zhiyuan lectures on The new development of Administrative Trial System with Chinese characteristics

On the evening of June 27, Zhang Zhiyuan, Professor of East China University of Political Science and Law , a well-known administrative law scholar, was invited to give a lecture on The new development of administrative trial system with Chinese characteristics.


This lecture is hosted by Professor Song Hualin, Associate Dean of Nankai University School of Law. Professor Fu Shicheng, Professor Yan Erbao, Professor Tu Zhenyu and Professor Wang Ruixue from Nankai University, Professor Zhang Qing, Associate Professor and Associate Dean Huo Jingyu from Hefei University of Technology, Dr Jia Shengzhen of the Civil Aviation University of China, Judge Liao Xifei of the Tianjin High People’s Court; and Judge Li Baicui of the No. 1 Intermediate People’s Court of Tianjin attended the lecture. Dozens of doctoral, graduate and undergraduate students from Nankai University School of Law attended the lecture.


Based on the current situation of administrative litigation, Professor Zhang analyzes the new development of administrative trial system with Chinese characteristics from four aspects. Professor Yan exchanged views with Professor Zhang on the issue of the different standard of the time limit for prosecution in different regions in administrative trials. 


Based on the Constitution, Professor Tu puts forward his own views on the relationship between judicial power and executive power. Professor Zhang responded to the questions raised by the teachers. Professor Fu points out that Professor Zhang Zhiyuan’s unique experience of extending from scholar to practice is of great value to theoretical research. Professor Song pointed out that Professor Zhang’s lecture reflected his concern about the “Living Administrative Law” research style, and expressed his gratitude for the ideological feast.
